Whether or not you wanna admit it, Peter Pettigrew was a Marauder—the map reads Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs. Not Moony, Padfoot, Prongs, and Karen Gillan as Lily Evans.

I think this truly needs to be remembered more. It needs to be held up because it makes his later decisions so much more heartbreaking. He really a hundred percent betrayed everything he loved and those who loved him. He WAS a Marauder and he broke that. He betrayed that and it led to the death of his best friends.
